We believe that education never stops. When the pandemic disrupted learning at 54C, the YTL Learning Space, we made an immediate transition to online learning, ensuring that education could continue.

Exclusively for the children of YTL staff, the Book Prize is a platform that builds and nurtures their potential by enabling them to discover and express their creativity.

The pandemic brought significant challenges to children in B40 households, who had limited access to online tools. We partnered with YTL Communications and FrogAsia to introduce the Learn from Home initiative – which offered free smartphones and affordable data plans to underserved families, whilst providing online lessons in English, Bahasa Melayu, Maths and Science mapped to the Malaysian curriculum, to students from Primary 1 to Form 5.

Pioneering in the 21st century never stops. Frog Classroom, an innovative learning space, has positively influenced teaching methodologies and student learning behaviour since 2014. By 2020, 350 classrooms around Malaysia were transformed and have since become model classrooms.

Building on the momentum of the Learn from Home initiative, we seized the opportunity to scale up by enabling a community-based classroom. KelasKita is an online learning programme that allows education implementers to provide tuition through volunteers, serving children in local communities.
