In April 2018, we held a Dialogue Session on social impact investing. With many Malaysians still unfamiliar with the subject, Dr James Gifford, Head of Impact Investing for UBS Wealth, was invited to be keynote speaker. This was followed by a panel discussion comprising: 

• Naser Jaafar, CEO of Agensi Inovasi Malaysia 
• Anderson Selvasegaram, Executive Director of SUKA Society 
• Dr Teh Su Thye, CEO of Global Peace Foundation Malaysia 
• Philip Mathews, a Trustee with EcoWorld Foundation 

• Social impact investing has experienced significant growth in recent years. 
• It is estimated to have a total growth of USD77 billion globally. 
• Many foundations and trusts are now looking to invest in sustainable businesses that can directly tackle poverty and social issues. 
• It is relatively new in Malaysia but fast gaining awareness.
