The growing success of the Learn from Home initiative and Leaps Academy among students and educators inspired us to scale up our programme with one goal in mind: make education more accessible to communities nationwide.
KelasKita, an online learning programme allows education implementers to provide tuition through volunteers to children in local communities using our Learn from Home materials. The KelasKita Playbook, developed in collaboration with Teach For Malaysia, provides a step-by-step guide for implementers, teachers and volunteers to run their own lessons with ease.
The programme focuses on Bahasa Melayu, English, Mathematics and Science. Lessons are also available in most core subjects in the Malaysian national curriculum.
To find out more about what you will need, please request access to the KelasKita Playbook in our application form below.
The Volunteer Tutor Handbook will assist you in understanding your role as a volunteer and how you can conduct your classes. Please request a copy from your programme implementer.
Why Learn From Home Learning Materials
All materials have been curated by FrogAsia, an Edutech social enterprise that has been working hand-in-hand with Malaysian schools since 2012. Together with Teach for Malaysia, MyReaders, UKM, Pelangi Publications and Kindity School, we have successfully created over 1,400 digital lessons for students across Malaysia.
Here's why KelasKita uses the Learn From Home learning materials:
Follows the national curriculum
Lessons have clear objectives and has elements to make learning interesting
Saves time and effort for volunteers to prepare lessons
