The 100% Project recognizes the challenges teachers face in obtaining resources.
Sharing their vision to address these obstacles, YTL Foundation supported the 100% Project in developing a platform that enables the public to crowdfund educational projects via donations. To seek support, teachers simply have to publish project requests on the website. Requests can range from classroom supplies, to resources for subject-based projects or workshops, to cash for educational field trips.
This platform helps teachers make studying more engaging by reducing financial barriers.
Together with the 100% Project, YTL Foundation has also helped develop several Frog Classrooms in SK Meru 2, SJKC Chung Wa, SMK Taman Tun Fuad, SK Kayang, and SK Telok Kalong.
We also supported the 100% Project to create reusable cloth masks for schools under the BIG GIVE initiative. This was also achieved by partnering with NGOs and social entrepreneurs that engaged with moms from B40 areas to give them a reliable source of income.
The collaboration allowed every contribution to have the greatest impact possible, safeguarding our schools and the livelihoods of the ones most affected by the pandemic.
