Chumbaka’s vision is that "All children will have the right skill sets and values to navigate the changing future".
Believing that technology is crucial for teachers and students to achieve 21st century learning & teaching skills, Chumbaka uses open-source hardware and software developed by the global community to reinvent education. Beyond mere adoption, Chumbaka advocates creating with technology to develop life skills like communication, creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and other skills technology cannot replace.
In 2020, they were given the opportunity to provide teachers training through full-day seminars at five academic institutions. Students and teachers were able to explore the world of STEM to map out concerns, discover new ideas, and propose solutions to challenges caused by the pandemic.
By working with partners like YTL Foundation, Hap Seng Group, UEM, Hong Leong Foundation, and OSK Foundation, Chumbaka has inspired interest in STEM among MCII schools since 2016, reaching out to children, and evolving the capacity of instructors.
