"Tuition for a Cause" is a community project launched by Petaling Jaya MP Maria Chin in mid 2021 to help vulnerable students who have fallen behind in their studies due to the pandemic. The programme, initially planned as a live event at the Section 17 community hall, was moved online when the country went into its second lockdown.

YTL Foundation donated 15 Chromebooks, and engaged volunteer teachers from Leaps Academy for the programme.

A total of 62 students aged 7 to 17 from Section 17, and Kampung Baru Damansara were registered for the English and Bahasa Melayu programmes.
