The switch to online learning due to school closures was a challenge for both students and teachers. Many children in B40 families fell behind in their studies and were struggling to keep up.

YTL Foundation, Deloitte Malaysia, and MyPJ (a group of residents and stakeholders committed to making PJ a sustainable city), saw the need and collaborated under Deloitte’s KidsEdu Program to reach out to students in PPR Desa Mentari PJ and PPR Sri Pantai KL.

100 children from B40 families each received a tablet and a 40GB data plan.

YTL Foundation also teamed up with Deloitte Penang to provide 23 smartphones, each with a 12-month data plan, to B40 families in Penang.
